1、Increase in flow rate leads to an increase in power of the sand pump.
Increasing the input of the swirl generator or opening multiple mud agitators will increase the flow rate and the required power.
2.Increase in impeller speed leads to an increase in power.
As the speed increases, the head will increase. With the increase in head, the flow rate will also increase.
3.Increase in impeller diameter and power
Increasing the impeller diameter (by replacing the impeller of the sand pump) will increase the flow rate and head, resulting in an increase in power consumption. After the pump wears, it is equivalent to reducing the impeller of the pump, so the flow rate, head, and power all decrease.
4. Increase in motor power during air duct routing
If the external load is very small after the motor starts, it may cause overload. In this case, the discharge valve should be closed during startup, and then slowly opened after the motor has started.
5. Increase in drilling fluid density leads to an increase in power.
The pump power is the power at a density of 1g/cm³. If transporting drilling fluid, it should be multiplied by the density of the drilling fluid.
Water horsepower * drilling fluid density = Output water horsepower
Therefore, the power of the sand pump equipment should be selected based on the maximum density of the drilling fluid processed by the solid control equipment. Alternatively, a larger motor can be selected to ensure that it does not overload even under the condition of the maximum weighted drilling fluid.
